Well, folks, if you ever find yourself wanderin’ around Asheville and feelin’ a bit peckish, let me tell ya, you won’t go wrong if you stop by the food court at the Asheville Mall. It’s a real treat, with all sorts of food to fill yer belly, no matter what kind of mood you’re in. Now, I ain’t a big city gal, but even I can tell this place got somethin’ for everyone.
The first thing you’ll notice when you step in is the variety. There’s a little bit of this and a little bit of that, so you ain’t gotta go far to find somethin’ to munch on. You got your typical fast food, sure, but also some places where you can get a little bit more fancy if that’s what you’re after. No matter if you’re in the mood for a quick bite or something a bit more special, it’s all here at the food court in Asheville Mall.
One of the standouts, if ya ask me, is Panda Express. Now, I’m no expert on fancy names, but let me tell ya, those folks sure know how to cook up some tasty Chinese food. You get your orange chicken, your fried rice, and don’t forget that little crispy sweet and sour sauce they got. Can’t go wrong with a plate of that when you’re hungry and in a rush!

Then there’s this place called Wild Wok. They got all sorts of stir fry, and the folks there really know their way around a wok. It’s all fresh, and you can taste it. They got dumplings, noodles, and some spicy dishes that’ll make your mouth tingle, in a good way! If you like that Asian flavor, you’ll be happy as a lark here, trust me.
Now, let’s talk about Island Pan for a minute. It’s a little different, but boy, if you like seafood and you’re craving somethin’ light and fresh, this place hits the spot. They serve up some real nice grilled seafood, and I gotta tell ya, it’s worth tryin’. Not too heavy, but just enough to leave ya feelin’ full and satisfied without being stuffed like a turkey.
If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ quick but tasty, you might want to try the burger joints in the mall. They ain’t just regular burgers, no sir. They got some real good charbroiled burgers and chicken sandwiches. And if you’re in the mood for BBQ, they’ve got that too. The chicken tenders there are something else, crispy and golden, just how they should be.
Now, don’t get me started on the noodle shops! Typhoon Noodle is another gem that’s worth mentionin’. They serve up noodles, soups, and all that good stuff you’d expect from a noodle shop, and it’s real comforting, especially if you’re in need of somethin’ warm to fill ya up.
There’s also this thing called the SW Market, now I’m tellin’ ya, that place might look a little humble, but they got some of the best eats if you’re into a quick bite or want to grab something to-go. The kind of place where you get a little of this, a little of that, and it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg either.
But, if you’re lookin’ to sit down and have a meal that feels a little more special, there’s a few spots outside the food court like Mr. Tea Asian Bistro or even Copper Crown. They ain’t in the food court, but they’re close by, and folks around here sure do love ‘em. You can get a nice, sit-down meal and not feel like you’re rushin’ through dinner.
So, whether you’re just passin’ through Asheville or you live around here, the food court at the Asheville Mall is a great place to take a break, grab a bite, and enjoy a little taste of what this town’s got to offer. Ain’t nothin’ fancy, but it’ll fill ya up, and that’s all you need when your belly’s rumblin’ and you’re ready for somethin’ good!
Next time you’re in the area, stop by the Asheville Mall food court. There’s no reason to go hungry when there’s so much good eatin’ right under one roof. Hope y’all enjoy it as much as I did!
