Fancy folks, I tell ya.

What’s SolidWorks all about, anyway?
Seems like it’s for makin’ them 3D doodads. You know, like them fancy pictures that look real but ain’t? Some fella named Hirschtick, sounds like a tick on a cow, started it way back when. Wanted to make somethin’ easy to use, even for us simple folk, I guess. They started in some place called Concord, then moved to Waltham. Probably followed the good pasture land, like we do with cows.

They also got other places to get help, like forums and tutorials. Forums are like a town hall meetin’, where folks ask questions and other folks answer. Tutorials are like little lessons, showin’ you how to do things step-by-step. My grandson tried to show me a tutorial once, but I just ended up makin’ the computer screen go all fuzzy. Kids these days, they’re somethin’ else.

If you’re really stuck, you can go to their website, *, or call ’em up. They got people there who know all about this stuff. They can answer your questions and help you figure things out. But try that Knowledge Base first, it’s probably got what you need.

Seems like these SolidWorks folks, they joined up with another big company, Dassault Systems. So, things got moved around a bit. Kinda like when you rearrange the furniture in your livin’ room. Everything’s still there, just in a different spot. So if you can’t find somethin’, don’t fret. Just poke around a bit, or ask someone for help. That’s what neighbors are for, right? And maybe that’s what them forums are for too, city folk way of bein’ neighborly I guess.
