Alright, alright, let’s talk about this indoor thingy, the national indoor tournament 2024, you know? Don’t expect no fancy talk from me, I just tell it like it is.
So, this thing, it’s for them young’uns, the U-14 kids, both girls and boys, or whatever they call it, “Co-Ed”. Sounds fancy, but it just means boys and girls playing together, I reckon. They get to run around inside, playin’ some kinda sport, must be like field hockey or somethin’. They announced the times and all, “wave assignments” they call it. Like they’re ridin’ waves or somethin’. Kids these days!
This here tournament, it happens every year, ’round the end of February, when it’s still cold as a witch’s tit outside. Guess that’s why they play inside. Smart, I guess. They keep them young’uns busy, outta trouble.
Heard tell there’s big shots playin’ too, not just kids. Some “top athletes,” they say. Big games, lots of showin’ off, and somebody wins, somebody loses. Just like life, ain’t it? Someone’s always gotta be better than someone else. I don’t get it, but that’s how it is.
They got these big tournaments, called “Grand Slam” somethin’. That’s for the tennis folks, not the hockey kids, I think. But it’s all the same, really. People runnin’ around, hittin’ balls, tryin’ to win. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me. But folks seem to like it, travelin’ all over to watch.
- When? End of February to start of March, every year.
- Who? U-14 kids, both boys and girls. And some grown-up athletes too.
- What? Indoor games, runnin’, hittin’, winnin’. Sounds tiring.
- Where? Inside, of course! Where else would it be in winter?
They had one last year too, 2023, see? And folks seemed happy enough. Lots of teams, lots of games. They even got “National Champions.” Sounds important. Guess them kids worked hard. Good for them.
Now, if you want a refund, they got rules for that too. “Refund Policy,” they call it. Means if you pay and then can’t go, maybe you get some money back. Maybe not. Always gotta read the fine print, that’s what my old man used to say. Can’t trust nobody these days.
This 2024 thing, they got some fancy names for it. “U14 Black/Royal.” Don’t ask me what that means. Probably just team colors or somethin’. Kids like fancy names. Makes ’em feel important.
So, that’s the lowdown on this national indoor tournament 2024. Kids playin’ games, grown-ups watchin’, somebody wins, somebody loses. Same old story, just indoors this time. If you like that sorta thing, go on and watch. Me? I’d rather stay home by the fire. It’s warmer.
But hey, to each their own. If them kids wanna run around inside, let ‘em. Keeps ‘em outta trouble, like I said. And it gives folks somethin’ to talk about. Lord knows, folks always need somethin’ to talk about. So there you have it, all I know about this here indoor tournament. Not much, but it’s somethin’. Don’t expect no more outta me.
Remember, this is just kids having fun, don’t get too worked up about it! It’s just a game, win or lose.
