Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Allen High School food court, or whatever them fancy folks call it. I ain’t never seen nothin’ like it, that’s for sure. It’s bigger than my whole darn house, I tell ya!
First off, they got this place called Blu, run by the students. Can you believe that? Kids these days, cookin’ up a storm. They say it’s cheap, too, which is good ’cause I ain’t made of money. They got all sorts of food, like pastries and tacos and such. And desserts? Oh honey, they say the desserts are somethin’ else. Amazing, they say. I bet they got them fancy cakes and pies, not just the plain ol’ apple pie I make.
Then there’s this whole cafeteria thing. They say it’s one of the biggest in the whole country. I reckon it’s gotta be, seein’ as how many kids they got over there at that Allen High School. Thousands of ’em, they say. That’s more folks than live in my whole town!

- They got all sorts of places to eat in that cafeteria.
- More than half a dozen, I heard. Can you imagine?
- They got them Subways and Pizza Huts, just like in the city.
- And then they got their own stuff too, food that the kids like.
Now, I don’t know much about all them fancy foods. I’m a meat and potatoes kinda gal myself. But they say they got all sorts of things. Things I ain’t even heard of before. And it ain’t just slop, neither. They say it’s all cooked up real nice, with fancy plates and all. Them kids are eatin’ better than I ever did, that’s for sure.
This Blu place, it ain’t just a place to eat. It’s a learnin’ place too. Them kids are learnin’ how to run a business, how to cook and serve food. It’s a real kitchen, with a real dinin’ room and everything. That’s pretty smart, I reckon. Gettin’ them kids ready for the real world.
Allen High School, they say it’s a good school. One of the best, maybe. I don’t know nothin’ about that. But I do know them kids are eatin’ good. And they’re learnin’ too, which is important. Education is important, y’all. It’ll get you further in life than a full belly, though a full belly sure does help you think better.
That food court, it’s on Rivercrest Boulevard, they say. I ain’t never been there myself, but I hear it’s somethin’ to see. All them kids, eatin’ and laughin’ and learnin’. It’s a good thing, I reckon. Kids need a good place to learn and a good place to eat. And it sounds like Allen High School has got both.
They say Allen High School is ranked pretty high too. All across the country. They look at how well the kids do on them tests, how many graduate, and if they’re ready for college. Sounds like they’re doin’ somethin’ right over there. And maybe that fancy food court is part of it. Happy kids learn better, that’s what I always say. And good food makes you happy, that’s just common sense.
So, if you’re ever in Allen, Texas, and you see that big ol’ high school, you’ll know what’s inside. A whole lotta kids, a whole lotta learnin’, and a whole lotta food. And that Blu place? Sounds like it’s worth checkin’ out. Just remember to save room for dessert. Remember that!
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about this here Allen High School food court. It’s big, it’s fancy, and them kids are eatin’ good. What more can you ask for?
