Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this Food Truck Thursday thing down at Court Square. Every Thursday, rain or shine, they got these food trucks, you know? Downtown Memphis Commission, that’s who puts it on. Heard it from a friend who heard it from another friend. They say it’s a good time, but I ain’t never been.
They got all kinds of food, I hear. This one Thursday, it was 901 Tasty’s, somethin’ called Champ’s Barbeque, Collin’s Concessions, and even somethin’ for them vegans, Da Guilty Vegan. Lord knows what that is. I stick to my usual, thank you very much. But folks seem to like it. They go down there every week, from 11 in the mornin’ to 2 in the afternoon, just eatin’ and carryin’ on.
Court Square, that’s where it’s at. They say it’s a park, right there in downtown. Now, I ain’t no city folk. I like my peace and quiet. But if you like that sort of thing, all them people and food trucks, then you might just like this Food Truck Thursday. Me, I’d rather sit on my porch with a glass of sweet tea.
They say there are more than 80 of these food truck things in Memphis. All over the place. Trailers, carts, you name it. Ain’t that somethin’? They got food from everywhere. Barbecue is what people like most, I hear. It’s a big deal. They say it’s the most profitable food truck item in North America. Imagine that! I can’t say. I just like my food simple, you know?

The Downtown Memphis Commission, they’re the ones behind it all. They organize it every week. They must be busy folks. I don’t know how they do it. They put it at Court Square Park. People like to go there and eat their lunch. It’s a whole thing, this Food Truck Thursday.
Me? I’m gonna stick to my usual routine. But if you’re in Memphis, and you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do on a Thursday, well, you know where to go. Just remember it’s from 11 to 2. Don’t be late, or you might miss out on all that food. And don’t forget your money!
