Well, let me tell you about this Fort Cavazos food court. It ain’t like the food stalls we used to have back in my day. They got all kinds of fancy stuff in there. I went there the other day with my grandkids, you know. They wanted to eat at this place, the Fort Cavazos food court, it is a big place, so many food to eat.
This Fort Cavazos food court, it’s a big place. Lots of folks going in and out, soldiers and their families. Reminds me of a busy market day, but with more uniforms, you know? They had all these different places to get food. Like, you could get a burger, or you could get some of that Chinese food. They have many kind of food there in the Fort Cavazos food court. Even had a place with just, you know, ice cream and smoothies. My grandkids, they were in heaven. They got some of that smoothie, said it was the best thing ever. That place called Smoothie King, I think. I don’t know, I just had some water. I think water is the best drink.
And you know what? They had tacos too! Not like the tacos my mama used to make, but they smelled pretty good. The grandkids wanted to try them, but we already had our hands full. Maybe next time we’ll try those tacos at that place called Taco Patron. They looked pretty popular. They got so many different kinds of food there. I saw something called “Arepitas.” I don’t even know what that is, but it looked interesting. And then there’s “Tatazo,” “Jimmy Johns,” “Los Pinchis Tacos,” so many names I can’t even remember them all.
So, we sat down to eat, and it was a real sight. Soldiers were coming and going. Families were laughing and talking. It was nice to see, you know? Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. And the food court was clean, too. They had folks going around wiping down tables and sweeping up. That’s important, you know. Gotta keep things tidy.
They got a bunch of these little restaurants all lined up. You just walk up to the counter, tell them what you want, and they fix it up for you. Some of it’s quick, like those sandwiches, and some of it takes a little longer, like the cooked meals. But they got something for everyone, that’s for sure.

Now, this Fort Cavazos food court, it’s on this big road called, uh, 761st Tank Battalion Avenue. And then there is T.J. Mills Blvd. Building 118. That’s what they told me, anyway. That’s where this big food place is. I don’t know about these roads. I just followed my grandkids. They seem to know their way around, you know, this Fort Cavazos place. It is a good place for eat. This Fort Cavazos food court, it is good for everyone.
I tell you what, if you’re ever at Fort Cavazos and you’re feeling hungry, this food court is the place to go. They got something for everyone, even picky eaters like my youngest grandkid. He just wanted some fries, and they had those too. I saw him eat a lot. He must like the food in Fort Cavazos food court.
The food, it ain’t like home cooking, but it’s good. It’s good for a quick bite, and it’s good for a sit-down meal. And it’s not too expensive, either. That’s important, you know, especially when you’re feeding a whole bunch of grandkids. I think that is very important things about the Fort Cavazos food court. You know, you don’t want to spend all your money on food.
So, yeah, this Fort Cavazos food court, it’s a good place. It’s a good place to eat, it’s a good place to people-watch, and it’s a good place to just sit and rest your feet for a while. I think I will go there again. Maybe next time I will try those tacos. Or maybe that “Hierba Fresca Restaurant.” That sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
That Fort Cavazos food court is big place to eat. I saw many people there. They eat, they talk, they laugh, they have a good time. It’s a good place for family and friends. You can find good food there. It’s not like my cooking, but it’s good. Next time you are at Fort Cavazos, you go to the food court. You will like it. You will find something you like to eat. They have so many things in the Fort Cavazos food court. Many good food.
I think I will take a nap now. All this talking about food is making me tired. But yeah, that food court, it’s a good place. A very good place. You can eat many food in Fort Cavazos food court. Good food for everyone. It is very good for all.
