Okay, so, I went to the St. Clair Mall the other day, and let me tell you, I had to hit up the food court. It’s like, a must-do, right?
First off, I started scouting the place. I needed to see all my options before I committed to anything. You know how it is, you gotta make sure you’re making the best food decision.
The Options
- There was this one spot, I think it was called “City Foundry STL” or something. Seemed fancy, but I wasn’t feeling it that day.
- Then there was “The Nosh,” which, honestly, I have no idea what that even means. Passed on that one, too.
- “Frankie Martin’s Garden” caught my eye. Garden? In a mall? Sounded interesting, but still, I kept looking.
- “Great Wraps” was an option. I do love a good wrap, but I was looking for something more… substantial.
- And then, “Tria’s Food Court.” Now that sounded promising. A whole food court within the food court? My mind was blown.
So, after walking around, I ended up at a taco place called “Takozz.” Yeah, I know, tacos in a mall. But these weren’t just any tacos. They had street tacos, birria tacos, and you could choose from like, six different meats. I was sold.

I ended up getting the “Quesabirria” and something called “elote.” I’m not even sure how to pronounce those, but they sounded delicious. And let me tell you, they were! I guess the sign said the place is family-run. They were super friendly, and you could tell they put a lot of love into their food.
All in all, it was a pretty successful trip to the St. Clair Mall food court. I mean, who knew you could find such good food in a place like that? Definitely going back to Takozz next time I’m there.
This food court was actually rated pretty highly, according to some reviews I saw. People were saying it was a “Nice food court” and I agree! I took some photos of the food. The mall is called the St. Clair Square Mall.
I ended up calling to see if I could get a table, but the line was super long! I found the food court easily on the map, though, so that was a plus. You can find out more by looking at the St. Clair Square directory, apparently.
Anyway, just thought I’d share my little food adventure. Maybe it’ll inspire you to check out your local mall’s food court. You never know what hidden gems you might find!
