Okay, so the other day I went to the Sunvalley Mall in Concord. I wasn’t really planning on eating there, but my stomach started growling, you know how it is. So I figured, “Why not check out the food court?”
First off, parking was a bit of a nightmare. I circled around for like 20 minutes before I finally snagged a spot. Then, I walked into the mall and made my way to the food court. It’s on the second floor, pretty easy to find.
Once I got there, I did a quick lap to see what my options were. There were the usual suspects: a pizza place, a burger joint, some Chinese food, you get the idea. But I also noticed a few places I hadn’t seen before, like a Korean BBQ spot called Plus 82 and a Shabuya joint. Seemed like they’ve got more options now compared to the last time I was here.

- Checked out the menus: Prices seemed pretty standard for a mall food court, nothing too crazy.
- Looked at the lines: Some places were slammed, others not so much. I guess it just depends on what you’re in the mood for and how much time you have.
- Saw a Hello Chicken & Sushi. I heard some people talking about how that place is pretty good.
Finally Decided On…
After much deliberation (and my stomach’s insistent rumbling), I ended up going to the Korean BBQ place, Plus 82. The line was a little long, but I figured it must be good if that many people were waiting. I ordered some bulgogi, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! Seriously, it was delicious, with tons of flavor.
I grabbed a table near the window, which was nice because I could people-watch while I ate. It was pretty busy, lots of families and groups of friends. It made for a lively atmosphere. I remember thinking there were about 160 specialty stores and around 30 restaurants there.
All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I might have to come back and try some of the other places, especially that chicken and sushi spot. If you’re ever at Sunvalley Mall and feeling hungry, I’d say the food court is definitely worth checking out. You might be surprised at what you find!
