Hey everyone, it’s your boy, back again with another one of my little adventures. So, a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon this band called Tally Hall. I know, I know, where have I been, right? Anyway, I was just poking around on the internet, you know how it is, and I started to get really curious about this band.
First off, I dove into their music. Catchy stuff, really. I found out they started back in 2002, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cool, cool. But then, things got a bit quiet after their “Good & Evil” tour in 2011. That’s a bummer. But it got me thinking, what happened to these guys?
Digging Deeper
So I put on my detective hat and started digging. Turns out, the members all went their separate ways, doing their own thing. Like, Ross, one of the members, he went back to school and is now apparently working on a Ph.D. in Immunology. Talk about a career change!

Then there’s this “Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum” thing. It’s some kind of museum in Michigan, and it seems like it had some kind of connection to the band’s name. Interesting, right?
The Rabbit Hole
- I stumbled upon a fan forum online. Man, these Tally Hall fans are dedicated! There’s a whole world of fan theories and discussions about the band. I spent hours there.
- Then, I watched what fans are calling a documentary about Tally Hall. It was pretty well-made, I gotta say. It gave me a better idea of their whole journey, the ups and downs.
- I even found some old journal entries from one of the band members. It was like getting a peek behind the curtain, reading about their experiences on the road and stuff.
The name “Tally Hall” itself is a bit of a story, it seems. Apparently, it was inspired by a food court or a shopping plaza. Who would’ve thought?
Anyway, this whole Tally Hall deep dive has been quite the ride. It’s amazing how much you can uncover when you really start looking. It’s not just about the music, but the stories, the people, the history. It all comes together to paint this really fascinating picture. And I’m here for it! That’s it for now, folks. Keep on exploring, you never know what you might find!
