Alright, folks, let me tell you about my little adventure to the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. I’m not much of a concert-goer, but a friend dragged me along, and I figured, why not? So, I hopped online to grab some tickets and started poking around to see what the view from different seats was like.
First thing I did was a quick search to get a feel for the place. I saw that this amphitheater used to be a ballpark – pretty cool, right? And it seems like they did a big makeover, turning it into this concert venue. Apparently, they had some big ceremony back in 2018 to kick things off, and it officially opened up that summer.
I stumbled upon some websites that had pictures of the views from different seats. Seemed like a good way to figure out where I wanted to sit. There was this one photo from section 203, row GG, that gave a decent idea of the layout. But then I read some comments – one person was complaining about seats 1 and 2 having a blocked view because of a pillar. And apparently, that wasn’t even mentioned when they bought the tickets! Can you believe that? I made a mental note to steer clear of those seats.

I also read that if you’re way off to the side, your view might not be the best. Makes sense. I mean, you don’t want to be craning your neck the whole time, right?
Then there were these fancy box seats. They’re supposed to be super luxurious, way better than the regular seats. I mean, that sounds nice, but I wasn’t about to shell out a ton of money. Regular seats would do just fine for me.
I poked around a bit more, checking out different sections and rows, trying to get a feel for what the view would be like from each spot. I ended up picking seats somewhere in the middle, not too close, not too far.
Here’s how my actual day went:
- Getting There: Drove down, parking was a bit of a mess, but we managed.
- Finding Our Seats: Place is big, but the signs were pretty clear. We found our section without too much trouble.
- The View: Not bad! We were a bit off-center, but we could see the stage pretty well. No pillars blocking our view, thank goodness.
- The Show: The band was great, the sound was decent, and the crowd was into it. Overall, a good time!
- Getting out: The exit was a mess. Took a while to get to the car. But that was fine.
So, yeah, that was my experience at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. It wasn’t too bad for a first-timer. If you’re planning on going, I’d definitely recommend checking out those seat view photos online. And maybe avoid those seats with the blocked views!
It was a fun night, even if I did end up with a bit of a sore neck from looking up at the stage. Would I go again? Maybe. If the right band came along, I wouldn’t say no.
