Alright, so the other day I went to this place called Inn of the Mountain Gods. I’d heard some mixed things, but a buddy of mine said their food court was worth checking out. So, I thought, why not? Let’s give it a shot.
I drove over there, and first off, the place looks pretty fancy from the outside. It’s this big resort and casino, all done up nice. I wasn’t there for the gambling, though – I was on a mission for food. Once I got inside, it was massive! The inside looked good, too, but a little dated. It was a bit of a walk to find the food court, but I followed the signs, and there it was.
Now, this isn’t your typical mall food court. It’s more like a collection of a few different spots where you can grab a bite. There is one sit down restaurant called Wendell’s, but it wasn’t open. I did notice it had aged steaks and seafood, and the menu looked expensive. I ended up grabbing quick bites from the food court. They had some variety, you know? Some fast-food type stuff, a place with sandwiches, and I think there was a coffee shop too. I grabbed a burger from one place and some fries from another. It was decent, nothing to write home about, but it hit the spot. The burger was juicy, and the fries were crispy, just how I like ’em.
I ate my food at one of the tables they had set up. It was clean, and there weren’t too many people around, which was nice. I guess most folks were busy with the casino or other stuff. The whole place had a relaxed vibe, even though it’s a casino. Oh, and I heard they have a golf course, fishing, and hunting, and even wedding stuff. Didn’t see any of that, but it sounds cool if you’re into that. They had an impressive wine list, too, if you are into that sort of thing. They accept AMEX, Discover, and Mastercard, which is handy.
After I finished eating, I walked around a bit more, checked out the casino floor – it was pretty standard, lots of slots and tables. I didn’t play anything, just took it all in. Then I headed out. Overall, it was a cool experience. The food court at Inn of the Mountain Gods is a solid choice if you’re in the area and need a quick meal. I wouldn’t say it’s a destination just for the food, but if you combine it with the other stuff they have there, it’s a fun day out.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure to the Inn of the Mountain Gods food court. Not bad, not bad at all. I might go back sometime, maybe try my luck at the casino or check out that Wendell’s when it is actually open. Who knows!
