Okay, so I’ve been wanting to give my bathroom a little makeover, and the first thing on my list was that old, boring vanity top. It was just so…blah. I decided to go with a cultured marble top ’cause I heard they’re pretty and don’t cost a fortune. Let me tell you, it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be!
First, I measured my existing vanity cabinet. Mine was 42 inches, so I knew I needed a top that was just a bit bigger, around 43 inches, to fit nicely. Then came the fun part – picking out the style!
I spent a good amount of time checking out what was available. The selection process is really a headache, there are a lot of choices. I wanted something modern but not too crazy. I ended up choosing a white marble style with some nice color in it. I really liked the oval sink design. It’s just an oval basin, which made it look way more updated than my old one.

After I placed my order, I just had to wait for it to arrive. That was probably the hardest part! Once it got here, I cleared everything off the old vanity top and disconnected the plumbing. That was a little tricky, but I managed to do it without flooding the bathroom. Then, with a little help, I lifted the old top off.
Putting the new cultured marble top on was pretty straightforward. We just placed it on the cabinet, and it fit perfectly! It is made in a factory, so the size is quite accurate. I reconnected the plumbing, which was a bit easier this time around, and that was it! I swear, it instantly transformed the whole bathroom.
I’m so happy with how it turned out. The cultured marble looks so much nicer than my old top, and it wasn’t a huge project. It’s like I have a whole new bathroom! And cleaning it is super easy, which is a major plus. If you’re thinking about a quick bathroom update, I totally recommend checking out cultured marble vanity tops. They’re good-looking, not too pricey, and you can totally install them yourself if you’re a little handy.
- Measure twice, order once! Make sure you have the right size before you buy.
- There are tons of styles to choose from, so take your time picking the perfect one.
- Disconnecting and reconnecting the plumbing is the trickiest part, but it’s doable.
- The end result is totally worth it!
What I learned:
I just love it! Now, to figure out what to do with the rest of the bathroom…
