Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to get away for a while, you know? Just a little escape from the daily grind. And what better place than the Poconos, right? Mountains, fresh air, the whole deal. But here’s the thing: I’m a sucker for a good indoor pool. Yeah, I know, the Poconos is all about the great outdoors, but sometimes you just want to take a dip without freezing your butt off or dealing with bugs. So, I went on a mission to find the perfect spot – a hotel with an indoor pool in the Poconos, PA.
Started with the Basics
First things first, I did what anyone would do – I fired up my laptop and started searching. I mean, you gotta start somewhere, right? Typed in “hotels with indoor pool in Poconos PA” and boom, a whole bunch of options popped up. Skimmed through a few, lots of pretty pictures, you know the drill.
Narrowing it Down
Then, I started to dig a little deeper. I looked at some specific names that kept coming up, like Skytop Lodge. Sounds fancy, doesn’t it? I checked out their website, saw some photos of their indoor pool, looked pretty decent. They’re a big resort, so that was a plus. One of them mentioned they had an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, which sounded super relaxing. Also saw something about ping pong, table tennis, all that stuff. I’m not a pro or anything, but it’s always fun to have some extra activities, right?

Family-Friendly or Nah?
Some places were all about being family-friendly. I saw a few spots that had arcades and game rooms, which is cool if you’ve got kids. One hotel even mentioned they had laundry facilities, which, let’s be honest, is a lifesaver when you’re traveling. Some of the hotels talked about having 24-hour access to the pool which is a huge bonus. Midnight swim, anyone?
Location, Location, Location
Now, where to actually stay? I saw a suggestion to check out Stroudsburg or East Stroudsburg. Apparently, they’re pretty central to everything, which is always good. Don’t want to spend your whole vacation driving around, right?
Making the Choice
After all that searching and comparing, I finally picked a place. I won’t bore you with all the details, but it had a nice indoor pool, it was in a good location, and it had some pretty good reviews. Booked it!
- Checked in – easy peasy.
- Room – comfy, clean, no complaints.
- Pool – That’s what I was waiting for. It was awesome! Good size, clean, not too crowded. Spent a good chunk of time just floating around and chilling.
All in all, it was a great trip. I did the whole nature thing too, don’t worry, but having that indoor pool to come back to was the best. If you’re like me and love a good indoor pool, definitely do your research before heading to the Poconos. There are some hidden gems out there!
