Okay, here is a blog post sharing my experience with the Independence Indoor Shooting Range, written in the style and format you requested:
So, I went to this place called Independence Indoor Shooting the other day. I heard some folks talking about it, and it sounded pretty cool, so I decided to check it out.
First off, I drove over to this address, 2749 E Gala Ct in Meridian. It was easy enough to find, pretty much right where the GPS said it would be. When I got there, the place looked like a regular storefront, nothing too flashy. I walked in, and the first thing I noticed was the retail area. They had all kinds of gear – guns, ammo, targets, the whole nine yards. I spent some time browsing, checking out what they had. They even had a gunsmith on site, which is pretty handy if you need some work done on your firearm.

After that, I headed over to the range itself. It’s all indoors, which is great because you don’t have to worry about the weather. I saw they had lanes set up for different distances. Most were around 50 to 75 feet, which is plenty for most handguns and rifles. I think I saw a couple longer ones too, maybe 150 feet, for the real long-range stuff.
I brought my own gear, so I didn’t need to rent anything, but I saw they had that option too. I got set up in a lane, loaded up my firearm, and started shooting. The ventilation seemed pretty good, I could see the range safety officers at the door, which is always reassuring.
- Felt safe the whole time
- Staff seemed friendly and helpful
- Lots of experienced shooters there
- But also some newbies, so it’s not intimidating
I shot for about an hour, then packed up my stuff. On the way out, I noticed they also had some meeting rooms, an arcade, and I saw some people signing up for classes. Seems like they offer a lot more than just shooting, like they are trying to build a real community here.
All in all
It was a good time. I’ll probably go back again sometime. If you’re in the Meridian area and you’re into shooting, or if you’re just curious and want to try it out, I’d say give Independence Indoor Shooting a shot. It seems like a solid place with good people running it.
