Yesterday, I went to the Animas Valley Mall, mainly because I was craving some good old mall food court grub. You know, that specific kind of food you can only get at a mall?
So, I drove over there, parked the car, and walked into the mall. It wasn’t too crowded, which was nice. I headed straight for the food court. I looked around at all the options.
- There was a pizza place.
- A place selling burgers.
- Some Chinese food.
- A place selling sandwiches.
- A place that was selling some kind of tacos or burritos.
Making a Choice
I walked around a bit, trying to decide what I was in the mood for. Finally, I settled on the Chinese place. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken with fried rice. I mean, who can resist that? They gave me one of those buzzer things that vibrates when your food is ready.

I found an empty table and sat down. While I waited, I people-watched. There were a bunch of teenagers hanging out, some families with little kids, and a few older folks just chilling. The usual mall crowd.
After a few minutes, my buzzer went off. I grabbed my food and headed back to my table. The General Tso’s chicken was pretty decent, and the fried rice was just what I wanted. Not gourmet, but it definitely hit the spot.
After I finished eating, I cleaned up my tray and threw away my trash. I walked around the mall for a bit, checking out some stores, but I didn’t buy anything. Finally, I went back out to my car and drove home.
All in all, it was a successful trip to the Animas Valley Mall food court. I got my food court fix, and that’s all that really matters, right?
