Okay, here’s my experience with figuring out the Lulu food court menu:
So, I had this craving for some good old biryani, and I was near Lulu Hypermarket. I thought, “Why not check out their food court? I’m sure they’ll have something.” Boy, was I in for a little adventure!
Getting Started
First things first, I tried to find a menu online. I mean, it’s 2024, everything’s online, right? Wrong! I Googled and Googled, and all I could find were some old blog posts and blurry photos from like, five years ago. Nothing concrete. Seriously, it was like searching for a hidden treasure.

The On-Site Mission
Since the internet failed me, I decided to go old-school. I went straight to the Lulu Hypermarket. I figured, “I’ll just walk around, see the stalls, and check their menus directly.” Sounds simple enough, huh?
Walking and Searching
I get there, and the food court is buzzing! So many people, so many smells… It was a bit overwhelming. I started walking around, looking at each stall. They had all these colorful signs, but most of them just had names of dishes, no full menus with prices.
- Indian Stall: Saw “Chicken Biryani,” “Vegetable Biryani,” but no prices! Had to ask the guy behind the counter.
- Arabic Stall: Saw some yummy-looking shawarmas, but again, had to ask about the different types and prices.
- Filipino Stall: This one was a little clearer, they had a small printed menu, but some items were crossed out.
- Chinese Stall: Mostly just pictures of noodles and fried rice. The names were in Chinese, and the English translations were super basic.
Asking Around
So, I spent a good 20 minutes just walking around, talking to the staff at each stall. It was a bit of a workout, let me tell you! Everyone was nice enough, but sometimes the language barrier was a bit tricky. My “Can I see the menu?” turned into a mini-game of charades a couple of times.
My “Aha!” Moment
Finally, after all that, I pieced together a mental menu. I wrote it all my phone note. I basically created my own menu by combining information from different stalls and asking a lot of questions.
I feel very happy that I can eat the yummy food and also share my little adventure.
