Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out the food options at MacDill Air Force Base, and I finally got around to it. Here’s how my little food adventure went.
Getting There
First things first, I had to actually get onto the base. Since I’m not military, that meant getting a visitor pass. I did a little research beforehand, it seems like process maybe takes time, So I went to visitors center, and waiting, waiting… Finally, got the pass. I drove over to where the main exchange and food court area are.
Checking Out the Options
Once I got there, I was kinda hungry. The food court isn’t huge, it is not like a shopping mall food court, just a simply place for people to grab something to eat, some basic options.

- Subway: Can’t go wrong with a reliable sandwich, right?
- Charleys: I’ve had their cheesesteaks before, and they’re pretty good.
- Taco Bell: You know, sometimes you just crave a Crunchwrap Supreme.
- Burger King: Another classic choice, for burgers and fries.
- Other options:I think i saw some others, but not sure.
Making a Decision (and Eating!)
I was really thinking, what I want to eat, seriously, I’ve been to these places before, should I try something different? Finally, I went with Charley’s. I got my usual order.
The Verdict
It’s a food court, It’s quick, convenient. It’s a good place to eat something when you get hungry!
