Okay, so the other day I was in Waikiki, and my stomach started rumbling. You know that feeling, right? I was near the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and I remembered they have a food court. I figured, “Why not? Let’s give it a shot.”
So, I headed over there. It’s pretty easy to find, right in the middle of the shopping center.
Paina Lanai Food Court
First thing I noticed? It’s called the Paina Lanai Food Court. Fancy, huh? It’s all open-air, which is nice because you get that Hawaiian breeze. It’s on the second floor I was so hungry. I walked around, checking out all the * of choices.

- There’s some local-style plate lunch places.
- There are some ramen and other noodles shops.
- I even saw a place with sandwiches and burgers.
I spent a good few minutes just wandering, trying to decide. Finally, I went to get some local food. I got a big plate with rice, and some sides. It was pretty tasty!
After I finished eating,I found a place near the food court. It was good for relax.
Overall, I’d say the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center food court is a solid choice if you’re in Waikiki and need a quick, relatively cheap bite. It’s not gourmet or anything, but it’s convenient, and there’s enough variety to please most people. I’ll probably go back next time I’m in the area and hungry!
