Okay, here we go, let me tell you about this little project of mine – building an indoor hot tub.
So, I’ve always wanted a hot tub, you know? But they’re usually outside, and let’s be real, who wants to deal with bugs, leaves, and the occasional curious neighbor? Not me! That’s why I decided, “Heck, I’m gonna put one INSIDE!”
First, I had to figure out where to put this thing. I was thinking, maybe the basement? But then I thought that’s a bit dark and dingy, don’t want that vibe. Finally, I settled on this spare room we hardly use. It’s got decent space, and most importantly it’s close to a bathroom. That will make things like filling the tub easy.

Next up, I did some internet browsing for inflatable hot tubs, and man, there are a lot of choices, like too many. I saw this one, “Bestway SaluSpa Paris Hot Tub Spa,” and it looked pretty decent. 67 x 25.5 inches, not too big, not too small. And the best part? It was cheap! I mean, who wants to spend a ton of money on something like this, you know?
I ordered the thing online, and it arrived in a few days. The box was heavy! I had to get my neighbor, old man Jenkins, to help me carry it inside. We managed, though. Then came the fun part – setting it up!
I read the instructions, which, thankfully, were pretty straightforward. Basically, you just unfold it, inflate it, and hook it up to the water and power. It was easier than putting together some of those IKEA furniture things, I’ll tell you that.
- Unfolding and inflating: This took a bit of muscle, but we got it done.
- Connecting the water: I used a regular garden hose, no problem there.
- Powering it up: Plugged it into a standard outlet, and it started to heat up.
It took a few hours for the water to get to that nice, toasty temperature. While that was happening, I set up some mood lighting, you know, some candles and those color-changing LED strip lights. Got to have the right ambiance, right? The wife even brought up some towels and a bottle of wine. She has no idea how I pulled this off.
The First Soak
Finally, the moment of truth! I slipped into the hot tub, and oh boy, it was glorious. The water was perfect, the jets were bubbling, and the lights were setting the mood. I poured myself a glass of that wine, and just relaxed. It was like having a mini-spa right in my own house! This is definitely the best purchase I made this year.
I’ve been using it almost every day since. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day, or just to chill out on the weekend. I even had a few friends over, and they were super impressed. They kept asking where I got it, how much it cost, all that stuff. I just smiled and said, “It’s my little secret.”
So yeah, that’s the story of my indoor hot tub adventure. It wasn’t too hard, it didn’t cost a fortune, and now I have my own personal oasis right here at home. If you’re thinking about getting a hot tub, I say go for it! Just maybe consider putting it inside, you won’t regret it.
