Okay, so, the other day I was at Ala Moana Center, and let me tell you, finding a place to eat there can be a real pain. It’s like a maze! But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I decided to figure out this whole food court situation once and for all, and I’m here to share my findings with you.
First off, I tried to find a map online. No luck, just some basic info, nothing detailed. So, I had to do this the old-fashioned way – by actually going there and exploring.
The Adventure Begins
I started at the Makai Market Food Court. It’s on the street level, and it’s huge! You’ve got your usual suspects like Panda Express and Subway, but also some local favorites like Honolulu Cookie Company. I walked around, made some mental notes, and snapped a few pictures of the directory boards.

Level Up!
Then, I went up to the Lanai Food Court on the second floor. This one is a bit fancier, with places like Ahi & Vegetable, BRUG Bakery, and Musubi Cafe Iyasume. I did the same thing here – walked around, took pictures, and tried to make sense of the layout.
Putting it all Together
After my little adventure, I came home and started organizing all the info I gathered. I’m making a simple map with the names of the restaurants and what kind of food they serve. I used my photos of the directory boards as a guide. It is not pretty, but it is working. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start!
- Makai Market Food Court (Street Level):

- Subway
- Honolulu Cookie Company
- …and many more!
- Lanai Food Court (2nd Floor):

It took some time, but I’m finally getting a handle on the food courts at Ala Moana Center. I am making progress. I hope this helps you out on your next shopping trip!
