So, I had to check out this place, Baypoint Healthcare Center, the other day. I heard they got about 99 beds and a bunch of folks staying there, 81 to be exact. It’s over in Hayward, CA, on 442 Sunset Boulevard. I think the zip code is 94541. Gotta say, it’s a pretty big place.
First thing I did was give them a call. The number is (510) 582-8311. Wanted to get the lowdown, see what they’re all about. They picked up pretty quick, and the person on the other end was nice enough. Gave me the basic info, like how they’re open 24/7 for skilled medical care. They are also certified for Medicare and Medicaid which is something that I need to take into consideration.
Then, I decided to just swing by. When I got there, I noticed the sign out front – it’s definitely easy to spot. The place is bigger than I expected. I walked in, and the folks at the front desk were friendly. Greeted me with a smile and everything, I was like “nice”. I asked a few more questions, just to get a feel for the place. It seemed like they knew their stuff, especially about the patients.

- Visit: Checked out the facility in person.
- Inquiry: Asked about the care they provide.
- Observation: Noticed the place was clean and well-maintained.
They mentioned something about being closed for lunch every day from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and also on major holidays. Also, they told me that the cost there starts at around $10 per month. Sounds reasonable, I guess.
I saw some of the common areas, and they looked alright. Nothing fancy, but comfy enough. I didn’t get to see any of the rooms, though. Overall, Baypoint seems like a decent place. It’s got an average rating, from what I gathered, like a 3 out of 5 or something. They seem to focus on routine and preventive health care.
One thing I did was check out what people were saying about them online. Saw a mix of reviews, you know, some good, some not so good. But hey, that’s pretty normal, right?
So yeah, that’s my little adventure to Baypoint Healthcare Center. Just wanted to share my experience, in case anyone’s curious about the place. It wasn’t a super deep dive, but I got a general sense of what they’re about.
The End
I think I will pay a second visit to dive deep into the details about the services. Maybe next week!
