Okay, folks, let’s dive into how I tackled these marinated steak tips in the oven. I’m no chef, but I do love a good, easy meal.
My Marinated Steak Tip Adventure
First, I grabbed my steak tips. I think mine were about 1.5 pounds? Something like that. I threw them into a big Ziploc bag. Gotta contain the mess, you know?
Next, the marinade. Now, I’m a simple guy. I didn’t go crazy with fancy ingredients. I used:

- About 1/2 cup of soy sauce (the low-sodium kind, ’cause why not?)
- 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce.
- A good squeeze of honey. Maybe 2 tablespoons?
- A couple of cloves of garlic, all minced up.
- Some black pepper. I just shook it in until it looked right.
- A little bit of onion powder.
I poured all that good stuff into the bag with the steak tips, sealed it up, and then squished everything around. Make sure every bit of steak gets coated in that tasty marinade. Then, I tossed the bag into the fridge.
I let that marinate for I don’t know four hours. The longer, the better, I figure.
When I was ready to cook, I preheated my oven to 400°F (200°C). Then while that was warming up, I lined my baking sheet with foil, mainly because I didn’t want to do all the dishes later.
I took the steak tips out of the bag (discarding the marinade) and spread them out on the baking sheet. I try not to crowd them too much.
I popped the baking sheet into the oven and baked the tips for about 15-20 minutes. I was going for medium-rare, so I used a meat thermometer and pulled them out when they hit around 130-135°F internally.
Finally, I let the steak tips rest for about 5-10 minutes before I sliced into them. Letting them rest helps keep them nice and juicy, as I learned the hard way.
That’s it! Super easy, and they tasted pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. Served them up with some roasted potatoes and veggies. A simple, solid dinner.
