Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this River Ridge Mall food court, or whatever they call it, that food hall thingy.
Food, Food, and More Food
So, they got this place, the River Ridge Mall, and it’s got a bunch of places to eat. They call it a food hall now, all fancy-like. Used to just be a food court, plain and simple. But I guess they gotta make it sound all highfalutin. Anyway, they opened this new food hall on a Tuesday, I think it was. Got some new places to eat, three of ‘em they say. Don’t know what all they are, but food’s food, right?
- They got that Papa Gallo place, Mexican food. Never been, but I hear tell it’s pretty good.
- Then there’s some other places, opened up not too long ago, in 2022, they say. They fixed up the whole place, made it all modern and such. Worked with them college folks and that Sodexo company. Don’t know what all that is, but it sounds important.
- And they sayin’ there’s five new places. That’s a lot of food. Makes ya wonder if folks are eatin’ too much these days.
What’s to Eat?
I ain’t been to all them places, mind you. Too much walkin’ for this old lady. But from what I hear, they got all sorts of stuff. Mexican food, like I said. Probably got them burgers and fries, too. And maybe some of that fancy coffee, the kind that costs more than a whole meal used to. Kids these days, they sure do like their fancy coffee. Me? I’ll stick with good ol’ iced tea. Sweet, of course. Can’t stand that unsweetened stuff, tastes like swamp water.
Is It Any Good?
Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. Some folks, they like all that fancy stuff. Them little plates with not much food on ’em, and it costs a fortune. Me? I like a good plate of food, somethin’ that’ll fill ya up. Don’t care much about how it looks, long as it tastes good. And I ain’t payin’ no arm and a leg for it neither. But I guess some folks, they got more money than sense. Or maybe they just like showin’ off. Who knows?
All that Fuss
They went and fixed up the whole place, spent a bunch of money, I bet. Made it all modern-lookin’. I don’t know, seems like a lot of fuss just to eat. Back in my day, we just ate at home. Or if we went out, it was to a diner, not some fancy food hall. But times change, I guess. Folks got different ideas about what’s good and what ain’t.
More Choices Than Sense
They askin’ what else we want to see at that there mall. More food, I guess? Seems like they already got enough. But folks always wantin’ somethin’ new, somethin’ different. Me? I’m happy with a good burger and some fries. Or maybe a plate of fried chicken. Can’t go wrong with fried chicken. But these youngsters, they want sushi and tacos and all sorts of stuff I can’t even pronounce. Too much choice if you ask me. Makes a person’s head spin.
Facebook Says…
Even got folks talkin’ about it on that Facebook thing. Always yappin’ about somethin’ on there. Pictures of food, talkin’ ‘bout what they ate, what they liked, what they didn’t. I don’t get it. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t. No need to go tellin’ the whole world about it. But that’s how they do things these days, I guess. Always gotta be sharin’ every little thing.
End of the Day
So, that’s the story on that River Ridge Mall food court, or food hall, or whatever you wanna call it. Lots of places to eat, that’s for sure. Whether it’s any good, well, you’ll have to go see for yourself. Me? I’ll stick with my iced tea and maybe a biscuit. That’s all this old lady needs.
