Okay, so yesterday, we decided to hit up this indoor playground, Eagles Nest in New Brighton. I’d heard some good things, and with the weather being kinda crummy, it seemed like a good way to burn off some energy.
We got there, and let me tell you, this place is huge! It’s inside the New Brighton Community Center, which is a nice building itself. Parking was a breeze, which is always a plus when you’ve got kids in tow.
The main attraction is this massive play structure. I mean, it’s like a kid’s dream come true. They’ve got this crazy tall web tower thingy, must be at least 20 feet high, seriously! Even I was tempted to climb it.

And the slides? Forget about it! There’s a bunch, but the big one is this quadruple wave slide. It’s super long, at least 30 feet, maybe more. The kids were zooming down that thing all day.
What We Did:
- Climbed: That web tower was a major workout, even for the little ones. They were determined to get to the top.
- Slid: Like I said, the slides were a huge hit. We must have gone down them a hundred times.
- Explored: There are tunnels, bridges, and all sorts of nooks and crannies to check out. It’s like a maze in there!
- Played Music: They even have these piano keys on the floor that you can walk on, which my youngest thought was the coolest thing ever.
- Tightrope Walk: My older one tried this. He was so proud of himself for making it across!
Honestly, we spent hours there, and the kids still didn’t want to leave. It’s definitely a great spot for kids up to 12 years old, maybe even older if they’re into that kind of thing. And the price was pretty reasonable, considering how much fun we had. If you’re in the New Brighton area and looking for a fun place to take the kids, especially on a rainy day, I’d definitely recommend checking out Eagles Nest. You won’t regret it!
