So, I had to swing by St Thomas’ Hospital the other day, and let me tell you, I was starving. I figured I’d check out their food court situation, hoping for something decent to fill me up.
Exploring the Food Court
I walked into the hospital and followed the signs towards the food court. It wasn’t hard to find, which was a good start. When I got there, it was pretty busy, mostly hospital staff on their lunch breaks, I guess. There were a few different places to choose from, nothing fancy, but hey, I wasn’t expecting a gourmet meal.
- One spot was selling sandwiches and salads.
- Another had some hot food, looked like your standard cafeteria-style stuff like pasta and some meat dishes.
- Then there was a coffee shop, which also had pastries and some pre-made wraps.
Making My Choice
I wandered around for a bit, checking out the menus and seeing what other people were getting. The hot food line was pretty long, and honestly, nothing really grabbed my attention. I wasn’t in the mood for a salad, so that left me with the sandwich or wrap options.

Finally, I decided on a chicken Caesar wrap from the coffee shop place. It looked pretty fresh, and I figured it would be a quick and easy option. I also grabbed a bottle of water because, you know, gotta stay hydrated.
The Verdict
I found a seat in the crowded food court and dug into my wrap. It wasn’t bad, actually. The chicken was cooked well, the lettuce was crisp, and the dressing wasn’t too heavy. It was definitely better than I expected for hospital food.
Overall, the food court at St Thomas’ Hospital is a decent option if you’re in a pinch. It’s nothing to write home about, but it’ll fill you up, and it won’t break the bank. I would definitely go back if I found myself hungry at the hospital again.
In the end I’m done with my lunch, and continue my work in the hospital.
