Well, let me tell ya ’bout this food court plaza las americas. It ain’t fancy, but it gets the job done, ya know?
First off, this place is big, real big. They say it’s got more stores than you can shake a stick at, like, over 250 of ’em! And right smack in the middle of it all is the food court. Folks say it’s a good spot to meet up and just sit a spell.
Now, I ain’t one for fancy eatin’, but even I can find somethin’ to fill my belly here. They got all sorts, I tell ya.

- There’s that Charley’s Grilled Subs place, makes them hot sandwiches.
- And then there’s ChickeNow, for when you’re in the mood for some fried bird.
- And that Mongus Grill, sounds kinda funny, but the food ain’t bad.
- Rice Garden, if you like that rice stuff.
- And of course, Subway, everybody knows Subway. They make them long sandwiches you can put whatever you want on.
They got other places too, fancier ones, but I ain’t never been to them. Folks talk about Applebee’s, and somethin’ called Olive Garden, and Cheesecake Factory. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me, but I guess some folks like that kinda thing.
I heard there’s a PF Changs too. Don’t ask me what kinda food they got there, somethin’ foreign I reckon. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ simple and cheap, the food court is where it’s at.
I saw some pictures once, folks eatin’ taquitos and baked potatoes. Said it was cheap and tasty. That’s my kinda food, ya know? Nothin’ fancy, just good eatin’ to fill your belly. They even got Chinese food, though I ain’t sure what kind. Lots of choices, that’s for sure.
This place, Plaza Las Americas, it ain’t just about the food though. They got this big movie place, Caribbean Cinemas Theatre, with like 13 screens! Can you believe that? And stores, oh honey, they got stores for days. JC Penney, they say it’s the biggest one in the whole world. Then there’s Gap, and Old Navy, and that Banana Republic place. And Sears and Macy’s too. You could spend all day wanderin’ around in there, I tell ya.
Now, some folks say this place is in San Juan. And it’s owned by some company, Plaza Las Amricas, Inc. Don’t mean nothin’ to me, but I guess it’s important to some folks. They even got maps and stuff to help you find your way around. But me? I just follow my nose to the food court.
And get this, they even got some Puerto Rican food there, at a place called La Fonda. If you ain’t into that fast food stuff, you can get some real home cookin’. They got it all laid out so you can see what you’re gettin’. That’s good, ’cause I like to see my food before I eat it.
So, if you’re ever in the neighborhood and you’re hungry, the food court plaza las americas is a good place to go. It ain’t the Ritz, but it’ll fill your belly without emptyin’ your pocketbook. And that’s good enough for me.
Food court plaza las americas, remember that name. It’s the place to go for a good, cheap meal when you’re shoppin’ or just need a place to sit down and rest your feet. They got somethin’ for everyone, even picky eaters like me. So go on down there and see for yourself. You might just find somethin’ you like.
