Okay, so I went to Disney World, and let me tell you, the Pop Century Resort is one of my favorite places to stay. It’s fun, it’s colorful, it brings back all those nostalgic memories – you know the vibe. But this time, I noticed something was a bit off when I went to grab some food at their food court, Everything POP Shopping & Dining.
It was under refurbishment! Yep, you heard that right. The usually bustling, lively food court was partly closed off. Construction walls were up, and it was clear they were making some changes. I was a bit bummed because I love the usual setup there. It’s so convenient to have all those different food stations in one spot, especially when you’re tired after a long day at the parks.
I took a walk around to check out what’s going on. I could hear some construction noise, you know the drills and hammers. I peeked over the walls and it looked like they were really gutting the place. It made me curious about what they’re planning to do. I mean, it’s already a great place, so I wonder how they’ll make it even better.

They still had some food options available, don’t worry. A few stations were open, so you could still get your pizza, burgers, and some other classics. But the selection was definitely smaller than usual. I ended up grabbing a quick burger. It was still tasty, but I missed having all the usual options.
Here’s what I saw:
- Construction walls blocking off a large part of the food court.
- Construction work happening behind the walls – sounds of drilling and hammering.
- A limited number of food stations open for service.
- Still able to get some basic food items like pizza and burgers.
I guess they’re just updating the place. It happens. It’ll be interesting to see what it looks like when it’s all finished. I’m sure it will be great, just like everything else at Disney. I am hoping they will bring back all the variety they had before, and maybe even add some new things! I’ll definitely be checking it out on my next trip. It’s all part of the Disney magic, right? Things are always changing and getting better.
