Okay, so I’ve been trying to get more steps in lately, but the weather here has been all over the place. One day it’s sunny and the next it’s pouring rain. So, I started looking into “indoor walking near me”.
First, I checked out the local community center. They have this public indoor walking track, which sounded perfect. I drove over there and took a look, and it was pretty decent! It’s a simple track, but it gets the job done. I tried walking a few laps there.
Local Gyms
Then I thought about gyms. I called a few places near my house to see if they had indoor tracks. Most of them just had treadmills, but one of them actually did have a small track around the weight area. I visited it, did a workout, and asked some members about it. The members told me that it’s usually not too crowded, which is a plus.

- Called local gyms to inquire about indoor tracks.
- Visited the gyms to check them out.
- Did a test workout.
The Mall
Next, I remembered about the mall. I heard that a lot of people, especially older folks, go mall walking in the mornings. So, I went there early one day. Sure enough, there were quite a few people walking around before the stores opened. It was a nice, large space to walk in, and it was kind of fun to window shop a little while getting my steps in. I even met a few other walkers and had some friendly chats with them.
My Living Room
Finally, I realized I didn’t even need to leave my house! There are tons of indoor walking videos online. I just cleared a little space in my living room, put on a video, and started walking in place. It’s not the same as walking outside or on a track, but it’s definitely better than nothing. Also, I found that walking around my home can also help. Although the space is limited, it is also a kind of exercise.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure in finding indoor walking spots. I found a few good options, and now I can keep up with my walking routine no matter what the weather is like. I feel great getting those steps in every day!
