Well, let’s talk about that Costco food court ice cream, you know, the one everybody likes to grab after shopping. I heard folks callin’ it “nutrition” this and that, sounds fancy, but I just wanna know if it’s gonna make my pants tighter, you get me?
First off, that soft serve ice cream they got, the one they swirl into them cups? It’s got a whole lotta stuff in it, more than just milk and sugar, I tell ya. Heard someone sayin’ somethin’ ’bout calories, says there’s like 521 of ’em in one of them swirls. That’s a lot, even for my old belly. And then there’s this carbs thing, 61 grams they say. Don’t rightly know what a gram is, but it sounds like a lot.
- Ice cream got a lot of sugar in it, that’s for sure. Makes it taste good, but probably not so good for the waistline.
- And fat, they say 29 grams of that. Fat makes things taste good too, but again, my pants are already feelin’ a bit snug.
- Then there’s this protein thing, 9 grams of it. Now, protein is supposed to be good for ya, right? Gives you energy or somethin’. But I reckon 9 ain’t much compared to all that other stuff.
Now, if you get one of them sundaes, with the sauce and all, well, that’s a whole ‘nother story. That vanilla ice cream they use is already full of stuff, like I said, all that dairy and sugar. Then you go and pour on the chocolate or strawberry goo, and it just adds more of everything. More sugar, more calories, more of that stuff that makes my pants feel tight.

I heard tell of somethin’ called a berry sundae, says it has 480 calories. Sounds a bit less than that soft serve, maybe because of them berries? Berries are supposed to be good for ya, ain’t they? But I bet they still put a bunch of sugar in it, you know how they do.
And then there’s the big daddy of ’em all, the ice cream bar. That thing’s a monster! Heard someone sayin’ it’s got 870 calories, can you believe that? And 65 grams of fat! Lord have mercy, that’s enough to make a whole meal, maybe two! And 28 of them fat grams are the “saturated” kind, whatever that means. Sounds like they’re extra bad for ya.
So, what’s the bottom line? Well, if you’re watchin’ your weight, or if your doctor’s been naggin’ you about your sugar, then maybe you should think twice ‘fore you grab that ice cream at Costco. It ain’t health food, that’s for sure. It’s a treat, somethin’ you have once in a while, not every time you go shoppin’.
But if you’re gonna get it anyway, I ain’t gonna judge. Sometimes a body just needs a little somethin’ sweet, you know? Just don’t go eatin’ them ice cream bars every day, that’s all I’m sayin’. And maybe walk around the store a few extra times after you eat it, burn off some of them calories. That’s what I try to do, anyway.
Costco food court ice cream calories, that’s what they call this information, huh? Well, I call it common sense. Too much of anything ain’t good for ya, and that goes double for sweet treats. But a little bit now and then, well, that ain’t gonna hurt too much. Just don’t blame me if your pants start feelin’ a little tight!
Remember, they got all kinds of food there, so maybe try somethin’ else sometimes. But if that sweet tooth is callin’, well, you know where to find the ice cream. Just be smart about it, that’s all.
