Okay, so today I wanna talk about my little adventure to the Southland Mall food court. You know, sometimes you just get that craving for some good old food court grub, and today was one of those days.
First off, I headed down to the lower level of the mall ’cause that’s where all the magic happens. I walked in, and, well, it was a food court alright. Not the fanciest place, but hey, I wasn’t expecting a five-star restaurant. Just a bunch of the usual suspects lined up, ready to serve some quick meals. I saw a few familiar names – some generic eateries, and the usual corporate same rings like Applebee’s and Panda Express scattered around the mall, but nothing that really caught my eye.
I took a stroll around the place, checking out all the different options. I noticed it was kinda sad, you know? Just a bunch of fast food joints, nothing really special. But, I spotted this one place tucked away on the left side as I came down the stairs. It was some Indian food spot, the only one in the whole food court. Figured, why not? Let’s give it a shot.

I ordered some food, nothing too crazy. I mean, it’s a food court, so my expectations weren’t sky-high. While I was waiting, I saw a bunch of people coming and going. The line at this place started getting longer, which I guess is a good sign. I heard it’s a family-run business, and I always like to support local spots, you know?
So, I got my food and found a table. It was a decent place to sit and people-watch while I ate. Not too crowded, not too empty. Just right for a quick lunch break. I finished my food and let me tell you, it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t the best Indian food I’ve ever had, but it hit the spot.
Overall Impression
The Southland Mall food court is, well, a food court. It’s got your usual variety of foods. If you’re in the mall and need a quick bite, it’ll do the trick. That Indian place I tried was a nice surprise, though. I’d probably go back there if I’m ever in the area again. It’s definitely a place to visit if you find yourself wandering around Southland Mall and need some food.
