Alright, let’s gab a bit about that there La Palmera Mall food court. You know, the place where you go when your belly starts rumblin’ and you need to stuff it with somethin’ good.
First off, finding the place ain’t hard. It’s in that big ol’ mall, La Palmera, down on South Padre Island Drive. Can’t miss it, unless you got your eyes closed tighter than a clam. Heard folks call it 5488 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, 78411. Fancy numbers, if you ask me.
Now, whatcha gonna eat there? Well, they got all sorts of vittles. More than you can shake a stick at, that’s for sure. They got somethin’ called La Palmera Cafes food court. Sounds highfalutin, but it just means lots of places to chow down.
- Cookies, cookies, cookies! There’s this place, Great American Cookies. They got them sweet treats, all gooey and chewy. Open most days, from 11 in the mornin’ till 7 at night. Good for a snack, or if you got a sweet tooth bigger than Texas.
- Other stuff too. I ain’t gonna list ’em all, ’cause my memory ain’t what it used to be. But they got places for burgers, pizza, maybe even some of that fancy foreign food. You just gotta wander around and see what tickles your fancy.
And get this, sometimes they even got shows and stuff. Saw somethin’ about “Encanto” bein’ there one time. Music and dancin’, I reckon. Keeps the young’uns entertained while you’re tryin’ to eat your burger in peace.
Now, let’s talk money. I ain’t made of it, and I bet you ain’t neither. Some folks say you can get gift cards for that mall, up to a thousand dollars! Imagine that! A whole thousand dollars just for eatin’ and shoppin’. They send it in a fancy card, through the mail or on that there computer thingy. You could eat for a month on that, maybe more if you’re careful.
But even if you ain’t got a thousand dollars burnin’ a hole in your pocket, you can still find somethin’ to eat at the food court that won’t break the bank. They got deals and specials, I’m sure of it. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled.
And what about the place itself? Well, it’s inside, so you don’t gotta worry about the sun beatin’ down on your head or the rain washin’ away your fries. It’s clean, mostly, and got plenty of tables and chairs. Sometimes it gets crowded, especially on the weekends, but that just means the food’s good, right?
I heard tell there’s even a Facebook page for the place. Folks postin’ pictures of their food and talkin’ about what they ate. Land sakes, what will they think of next? Me, I’d rather just eat the food than take a picture of it. But to each their own, I always say.
So, all in all, the La Palmera Mall food court is a good place to go if you’re hungry and you’re at the mall. It ain’t fancy, but it’ll fill your belly. Plenty of choices, so even picky eaters like my grandson can find somethin’ they like. And if you’re lucky, you might even catch a show while you’re there. Just remember to bring your appetite and your wallet, and you’ll be good to go.
That’s about all I got to say about it. Go on down there and see for yourself. Just don’t blame me if you gain a few pounds. That food’s mighty tasty, and it’s hard to say no to a second helping.
