- Clearing Land for Others: Maybe somebody wants to build a house or a barn, and they need the land cleared. You can charge ’em to take them trees down. It’s hard work, but it pays. And if you’re lucky you can sell the logs and the firewood too, that’s what I call killin’ two birds with one stone.
Now, about them scrubby trees and brush. You might not make much money sellin’ them, but you can still get rid of ’em. Sometimes folks want land cleared for pasture or for plantin’ crops. They might pay you a little somethin’ to clear it, or you can let people take the wood for free just to get it outta there. Some folks even let people cut firewood for free to get the land cleared faster.
And listen, be careful out there in them woods. Trees can be dangerous, they can fall on you and squish you flat. Make sure you know what you’re doin’, or get somebody who does. And don’t go cuttin’ down trees you ain’t supposed to, that’ll get you in trouble with the law. Another thing, if you got a lot of land, you might think about sellin’ some of it. Land is valuable, and if you don’t need it all, you can get a good price for it. But don’t be in a hurry, and don’t let nobody lowball you. Get a good realtor who knows the area and knows what your land is worth. They can help you get the most money for your property. And if the land has trees on it, it’s worth even more especially if you have some of them good loggin’ trees.
