So, today, I took my little ones to this indoor playground in Maple Grove. It’s called, uh, the Maple Grove Indoor Playground, I think. Yeah, that’s it.
First off, I looked up some places online and this one had pretty good reviews. It seemed like a safe bet for a rainy day activity, and boy, was it pouring today! So I packed up some snacks, grabbed the kids, and we hopped into the car.
Getting there was a breeze. I put the name in my phone’s map, and boom, we were there in no time. It’s in a big building, kinda like a community center. There’s lots of parking too. I think the building also has a gym or something. A lot of people are wearing sport clothes, which made me feel so out of shape.

When we walked in, the kids’ eyes just lit up. This place is huge! There’s a big climbing structure in the middle, with slides and tunnels and all sorts of things. All of the kids started running around to explore this and that. There were also some other smaller play areas scattered around, with things like a ball pit and some soft blocks for building.
Here’s what we did:
- Explored the main climbing structure: The kids spent a good chunk of time here. They climbed up, slid down, crawled through tunnels, the whole shebang. They even made some new friends, which was great.
- Hit the ball pit: The ball pit was a major hit. They jumped in, “swam” around, and threw balls at each other (gently, of course!).
- Built some forts: We moved to the area with the soft building blocks. My little ones worked together and built an awesome fort. I just sat back and watched them be creative.
- Had a snack break: I found a little seating area, and we munched on the snacks I brought. Then my two naughty children spent another 30 minutes chasing each other and wouldn’t stop. I swear I was going to pass out.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, the Maple Grove Indoor Playground is a lifesaver for parents. It’s a great place for kids to burn off energy, especially when the weather is bad. Plus, it’s pretty affordable. The staffs were friendly and kept the place clean. I saw them wiping down surfaces and stuff. I definitely recommend it to other parents. Just make sure you bring some comfy shoes because you’ll probably be doing a lot of running around, especially when chasing your kids!
We’ll definitely be back. And next time, I might even join the kids in the ball pit. Who knows?
