Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about the Eagle Mountain Casino lately, especially about their food court. People keep talking about how good the food is, and I figured I should see what all the fuss was about. So, I made a little trip out there to Porterville to check it out myself.
First off, getting there was pretty easy. It’s right there on West St. This casino is owned by the Tule River Tribe, so that’s a cool bit of local culture right there. They’ve got everything – tons of slot machines, table games, the works. But I was there for the food, specifically the Cedar Food Court.
When I got to the food court, I was immediately hit with all these amazing smells. I mean, we’re talking Italian, Asian, Mexican – you name it. It’s like a mini international food festival in there! I walked around, checking out all the different stalls, and let me tell you, it was hard to choose.

- Italian Place: They had all the classics – pizza, pasta, you know the drill. The pizza looked amazing, all cheesy and with tons of toppings.
- Asian Spot: This place had a bunch of different dishes. Noodles, stir-fries, the whole nine yards. It all smelled so fragrant and spicy.
- Mexican Stall: Tacos, burritos, nachos – all the good stuff. I saw someone with a massive plate of nachos, and I was seriously tempted.
I ended up going for some Mexican food, I mean I love Mexican, and who can say no to that? Grabbed a burrito, and I have to say, it was pretty darn good. The meat was flavorful, the rice was perfect, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick. It wasn’t too crowded either, which was nice. I found a table easily, and there was a good vibe in the place. People were chatting, laughing, just enjoying their food. I guess it is a casino, people should have some fun after all.
After I ate, I walked around the casino a bit. It’s a pretty big place, and they’ve got all sorts of games. I’m not much of a gambler myself, but it was fun to watch people playing. They’ve got like over 1,750 slot machines and 20 table games – crazy, right?
Overall, I’d say the Eagle Mountain Casino food court is definitely worth a visit. If you like casinos it is a good one. The food is solid, the prices are reasonable, and there’s a good variety. It’s a fun place to hang out, grab a bite, and maybe try your luck at a few games. I’ll probably go back sometime, maybe try the Asian food next time. Or the pizza. Or both, who knows!
Oh, and I heard they’re bringing back their buffet, too. So that’s something to look forward to. I wonder how the Forest Buffet is. I guess we’ll see in the future, I have to find some time to pay another visit.
Anyway, that’s my little food adventure for today. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Let me know if you’ve been to Eagle Mountain and what you thought of the food. I’m always up for trying new places, so hit me with your recommendations!
