Alright, listen up, y’all. Gatlinburg, that’s the place to be, especially if you got them teenagers runnin’ around. Don’t want ’em gettin’ into no trouble, right? So, here’s the lowdown on the best indoor stuff for them young’uns. Keeps ’em busy, keeps ’em outta your hair. You know how it is.
First off, there’s this place called Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t. It’s just a big ol’ fish tank, but the kids, they love it. Sharks swimmin’ around, all sorts of colorful fishes. They got this tunnel thingy where you walk underneath and the fishes are swimmin’ all over ya. Scared the bejeebers outta me the first time, but the young’uns, they just giggle. Worth the money, I reckon, keeps ’em occupied for a good while.
Then there’s Arcadia, that’s what they call it. It’s a big ol’ room filled with games. You know, the kind where you gotta shoot things or drive cars real fast. Costs a pretty penny, them games do, but it keeps the teenagers happy. They got tickets and prizes and all that jazz. My grandson, he won a big ol’ stuffed bear there once. Carried it around for weeks, he did. So yeah, Arcadia, that’s a good one.

- Arcadia: Lots of games, tickets, and prizes.
- Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies: Big fish tank, sharks, and a cool tunnel.
Now, if your teenagers are into spooky stuff, there’s this Haunted House, I think it’s called. Can’t remember the exact name, but it’s hard to miss. Big ol’ creepy lookin’ building right there on the main street. I ain’t never been inside, scaredy cat that I am, but the young’uns, they love it. Screamin’ and laughin’ all at the same time. Guess it’s the thrill of it all.
And if that ain’t enough, there’s always the Hollywood Star Cars Museum. Now, I ain’t no car person myself, but even I gotta admit, them cars are somethin’ else. Cars from the movies, you know? Fast and Furious, Dukes of Hazzard, all them shows. The teenagers, they like takin’ pictures with the cars. Pretendin’ they’re movie stars, I guess. It’s harmless fun, and it keeps ’em outta trouble.
Guinness World Records Adventure, that’s another place they might like. They got all sorts of weird and wacky stuff in there. Tallest man, fastest eater, you name it. It’s kind of educational, I guess, but mostly it’s just fun to look at all the crazy things people do. My niece, she spent hours in there, tryin’ to beat some of the records herself. Didn’t work, of course, but she had a good time.
And if it’s raining cats and dogs outside, and you just need a place to sit and relax, there’s always the movie theater. Gatlinburg’s got a good one, right there in the middle of town. Big comfy seats, popcorn the size of your head, and all the latest movies. Can’t go wrong with a movie, I always say. Keeps ’em quiet for a couple of hours, at least. That’s a win in my book.
So, there you have it. The best indoor attractions in Gatlinburg for teenagers, according to yours truly. Now, don’t go blamin’ me if your teenagers still find a way to get into trouble, ’cause teenagers, well, they’re teenagers. But at least you can say you tried. And hey, maybe you’ll even have some fun yourself. Gatlinburg, it ain’t just for the young’uns, you know. It’s a good place for us old folks too. Plenty of shops and restaurants, and the scenery, well, it’s just somethin’ special.
Remember, keep them teenagers busy, and everyone’s happy. That’s the secret to a good vacation, ain’t it?
