Today I wanna talk about this thing called “Fly Money”. Now, I ain’t no financial expert, but I’ve been messing around with ways to send money around, and I figured I’d share what I’ve learned.
Getting Started
First off, I tried the good old bank wire transfer. I went to my bank, filled out a bunch of forms, and waited.
- Went to the bank.
- Filled out forms.
- Waited for the transfer to go through.
It took a few days, but the money did get there. The good thing is you can send a lot of money this way, like, over ten grand easily. But man, it felt slow and kinda old-fashioned.

Trying Something New
Then, I heard about this thing called Zelle. I downloaded the app and linked it to my bank account.
- Downloaded the Zelle app.
- Linked my bank account.
- Entered the recipient’s email or phone number.
I sent some cash to my buddy to pay him back for lunch, and bam! It was instant. Like, seriously, the money was in his account before I could even put my phone down. And guess what? It was free. No fees at all. This felt way more convenient, especially for smaller amounts between friends and family. It’s like magic, money just flying through the air.
My Takeaway
So, here’s the deal. If you need to send a big chunk of change, and you don’t mind waiting a bit, the bank wire might be your thing. But if you want speed and ease, especially for smaller amounts, that Zelle thing is pretty slick. I’m definitely gonna be using Zelle more often. It’s just so much easier and faster. It is free to use, which is why I like it. But for now, that’s my two cents on the whole “fly money” situation. Hope it helps someone out there!
