Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here Superstition Springs Mall food court. It’s a place, you know, where you can get some grub. I ain’t never seen so many places to eat all squished together like that. It’s in Mesa, Arizona, they say. Big place, lots of stores, but we’re talkin’ ’bout the food, right?
Now, I ain’t fancy. I like good, plain food. Stuff that fills ya up. They got all sorts of things there, though. Mexican food, they call it. Spicy stuff, makes your nose run. But it’s tasty, I gotta say. And then there’s this other place, Sarku Japan, they call it. Teriyaki chicken, they make. Little pieces of chicken, all cooked up with some kinda sauce. It’s good, and it don’t cost too much, which is important, ya know?
They got other places too. Places that sell noodles, places that sell pizza. Pizza, that’s somethin’ the grandkids love. Big ol’ slices, all cheesy and greasy. Messy, but good. And ice cream! Can’t forget the ice cream. All sorts of flavors, makes your head spin just lookin’ at ’em. Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, even some fancy ones I ain’t never heard of. But the kids, they know ’em all. They’re always wantin’ somethin’ different, somethin’ new.

- Habanero Mexican Food, somethin’ spicy for ya.
- Sarku Japan, that teriyaki chicken is real good.
- Pizza places, kids love that cheesy stuff.
- Ice cream, all them flavors!
This mall, Superstition Springs, they call it. It’s a big place. They say it’s been there since 1990. That’s a long time, even for an old gal like me. And this food court, it’s right in the middle of it all. So, you can shop till ya drop, and then fill your belly right up. They got tables and chairs, you know, so you can sit down and eat. But it gets crowded sometimes. Especially on the weekends. Everybody and their brother’s there, it seems like.
And listen, they even got places near the mall, outside, if you want somethin’ fancier. The Stone House, Sam and Luca Italian Bistro, Nana Dee’s Diner. Sound kinda highfalutin to me, but some folks like that kinda thing. Me, I’m happy with a good plate of chicken and some rice. Or maybe a slice of pizza if the grandkids are around.
This food court, it ain’t just for eatin’, though. It’s a place to watch people too. Young folks runnin’ around, old folks sittin’ and chattin’. Families all together, laughin’ and talkin’. It’s kinda nice, you know? Seein’ all them folks, just livin’ their lives. And this mall, they say it opens early for people to walk around inside. Walk around in circles, get some exercise. Imagine that! Walking around a big building for exercise. Folks got too much time on their hands, if you ask me.
They also got high chairs for the little ones, and some places even got outdoor seating if the weather’s nice. Which, in Arizona, it usually is. Hot, but nice. So, you can sit outside and enjoy your food, watch the cars go by. And for kids, it’s a good place. They can run around, make some noise. Nobody seems to mind too much. It’s a family place, ya know?
So, if you’re ever in Mesa, Arizona, and you’re hungry, you might wanna check out this Superstition Springs Mall food court. It ain’t the fanciest place in the world, but it’s got somethin’ for everyone. And that’s what matters, right? Good food, good prices, and a place to sit down and rest your feet. That’s all this old lady needs.
