Okay, let me tell you about this ‘money poster’ thing I put together recently. It wasn’t some grand plan, just something that popped into my head one afternoon.
Getting Started
So, I was just sitting around, thinking about goals and stuff. You know how it is. And I thought, wouldn’t it be cool to have something visual? Something to look at every day. That’s where the idea for a ‘money poster’ came from. Not like, a poster made of actual money, obviously, but one with pictures representing financial goals or just the idea of abundance, whatever you want to call it.
Gathering the Stuff
First thing, I needed supplies. Wasn’t much, really.

- A big piece of poster board. Found one in the garage, a bit dusty but usable.
- Glue stick. Had one rolling around in a drawer.
- Scissors. Standard stuff.
- Old magazines and some printouts. This was the main part.
Making the Poster
Alright, so I grabbed a stack of old magazines I hadn’t thrown out yet. Started flipping through them, looking for pictures. Anything that kinda screamed ‘money’ or ‘success’ or even just things I wanted to eventually afford. Found some pictures of cool cars, a nice house, people looking happy on vacation, that sort of thing. I wasn’t too picky, just snipped out anything that caught my eye.
I also went online and printed a few specific images. Found some generic pictures of stacks of cash (looked fake, but who cares?), maybe a graph going up. Printed those out on regular paper.
Then came the messy part. Laying out the poster board on the floor. Started arranging the pictures. Moved them around a bunch of times. Tried to make it look kinda cool, not just a jumble. Some big pictures, some small ones. overlapped a few.
This took longer than I thought. Deciding where everything should go was a bit tedious. My back started hurting from leaning over.
Once I had a layout I sort of liked, I started gluing. Just used a basic glue stick. Slapped some glue on the back of each picture and pressed it down. Made sure the edges were stuck down okay. Some of them peeled up a bit later, had to go back and add more glue. Annoying.
The Finished Thing
After maybe an hour or so, it was done. Looked… well, it looked homemade, that’s for sure. It’s not gonna win any art awards. Just a bunch of pictures stuck to a board.
I hung it up on the wall in my office space, right where I can see it. Does it magically make money appear? Nah. But it’s there. A visual reminder of why I bother working hard, I guess. Kinda like those motivational posters, but more personal because I actually slapped it together myself. It was a simple little project, kept me busy for an afternoon.
