Okay, so the other day I was thinking, “I gotta get some culture dishes.” I mean, who doesn’t need culture dishes, right? So I started looking around. First, I checked out some of those big online retailers, you know the ones. They had some, sure, but they were either super expensive or looked kinda flimsy. I wanted something that was gonna last, something sturdy.
Then, I remembered this restaurant supply website that my buddy told me about, Webstaurant. He said they had good stuff, and it was way cheaper than other places. So, I hopped on there and typed in “culture dish.” Bingo! They had a bunch. And guess what? They were pretty darn cheap! I was like, “Heck yeah!” I browsed through their selection, saw different sizes and materials. I even saw some Petri Dishes that will also work for mushroom cultivation, which was a nice little discovery. Decided to order a couple of different kinds to try them out.
While I was waiting for the order, I went down a rabbit hole, reading about all sorts of lab supplies. I saw that they sell beakers, bottle-top filters, burettes, and even condensers. Man, I haven’t seen those since my college days. I was so surprised to see that you can get all of that kind of stuff there! They even have culture flasks!

- Prepoured Malt Extract Agar Petri Dishes (MEA) for Mushroom Cultivation
- Beakers
- Bottle Top Filters
- Burettes
- Cell Culture Flasks
- Condensers
- Culture Dishes
- Desiccators
- Drug Testing Supplies
A few days later, my package arrived. I ripped that box open like a kid on Christmas morning. And you know what? Those culture dishes were perfect! They were solid, well-made, and exactly what I needed. Even though the reviews online say that the place was good for kids and accepts reservations, I don’t know about that. I found what I wanted!
So yeah, that’s my story about getting culture dishes. If you need some, don’t waste your time with those overpriced retailers. Just head over to Webstaurant. You can thank me later. And hey, while you’re there, check out their other lab supplies. You might find something else you need, or just get lost in the world of science stuff like I did!
