Well, let me tell ya ’bout this place, the food court at Gettysburg outlets. It ain’t nothin’ fancy, mind you, but it gets the job done. You know, when you’re out shoppin’ all day, your belly starts to rumble, and you gotta fill it up. That’s what this place is for.
First off, they got this place called TGI Fridays. Now, I ain’t never been one for them fancy names, but the food ain’t bad. They got them burgers and fries, and them… uh… whatchamacallits… appetizers! Yeah, that’s it. Them potato skins ain’t half bad, though I could make ’em better myself, if I had a mind to.
Then there’s this ice cream place, Mr. G’s somethin’ or other. Boy, oh boy, do they have a lot of flavors. More flavors than I got chickens in my coop! The kids love it, and truth be told, so do I. Nothin’ like a good scoop of strawberry on a hot day. They got them waffle cones too, them crispy ones that get all over your fingers. But they sure taste good, messy or not.

And then there’s this Hunt’s somethin’ somethin’ Fries. Fries, that’s their specialty. Now, I like a good fry, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. And these folks, they know how to make ’em. They got all sorts of dippin’ sauces too. Ketchup, of course, but also this… aioli stuff. Tastes like fancy mayonnaise to me. But hey, it ain’t bad.
They also have a place where you can get free tastings. Free! Now, I like the sound of that. They got this… Sip and Shoppe, they call it. You can try some of their… hard cider, is it? Tastes kinda like apple juice, but with a kick. Not too strong, though. Just enough to make your shoppin’ a little more… fun.
- TGI Fridays: Burgers, fries, appetizers. Good for a sit-down meal.
- Mr. G’s Ice Cream: Lots of flavors, waffle cones. Perfect for a sweet treat.
- Hunt’s Battlefield Fries: Best fries in town, lots of dippin’ sauces.
- Sip and Shoppe: Free tastings, hard cider available. For a little somethin’ extra.
Now, this whole outlet place, they say you can save a bunch of money. Up to 70%, they claim. And I gotta say, I did find some good deals. Got myself a new pair of shoes for half the price I’d pay in town. And the clothes, they got some nice clothes too. Tax-free, they say. Saves ya a few extra dollars, which is always a good thing.
They also got a Black Friday sale, or so I hear. Coupons and deals everywhere. Half-off this, half-off that. You gotta be careful, though. Sometimes them deals ain’t as good as they seem. But if you keep your eyes peeled, you can find some real bargains. That’s what I always say: “A penny saved is a penny earned.”
And the best part? It’s all in one place. You can shop, eat, and even have a little somethin’ to drink, all without havin’ to drive all over creation. They even got hotels, if you’re comin’ from far away. Two of ‘em, I think. Makes it easy, ya know? No fuss, no muss.
So, if you’re ever in Gettysburg, and you’re lookin’ for a place to shop and eat, I reckon the outlets ain’t a bad choice. Just don’t expect nothin’ fancy. It’s good, honest food and good, honest deals. And that’s all a body really needs, ain’t it?
It ain’t the fanciest place, but it’s clean, and the people are friendly enough. They got restrooms, which is important when you’re out all day. And plenty of parkin’, which is a blessing, let me tell ya. Nothin’ worse than drivin’ around and around, lookin’ for a place to park your car.
All in all, it’s a good place to spend a day. You can get your shoppin’ done, fill your belly, and maybe even save a few dollars in the process. Can’t ask for much more than that, can ya?
